Thank you for choosing the Fender Center for Performing Arts as your special event venue.  Here there’s no need to imagine what rock n’ roll is all about, you can experience it first hand in our unique setting.  Where else would you be surrounded by the guitars, photographs, art and other memorabilia that have helped create the Fender Legacy?  The Visual Arts Gallery rental facility can accommodate up to 300 guests. Start planning…the music is getting louder!

FACILITY RESERVATIONS
Facility Room reservations must be arranged with the Fender Center staff and are separate from catering reservations.  Upon your request, your tentative room reservation will be penciled in on our calendar for 10 business days, unless otherwise. If we do not receive 50% deposit ($500.00 of which is non-refundable) and signed contract after the tenth day, your reservation will be cancelled. FACILITY FEES
Facility Fees vary and are based upon event time frame. Facility Fees are subject to change without notice.  The Fender Center’s Facility Fees include round tables and chairs for up to 150 guests.  Additional tables and chairs will be charged to the client.

CEREMONIES
Indoor and outdoor ceremonies are available. Ceremony set-up fee: Beginning at $500 in addition to facility rental fees.

CLIENT TO PROVIDE
Any additional tables/chairs (exceeding 150 guests), linens, wait services, food, flowers, music, photographers, invitations, decorations and place cards will need to be provided by the client. Note: See Utilities and Special Equipment below for decor limitations. Music can be provided by the Fender Center for an additional fee.

CATERED EVENTS
Any food, non-alcoholic beverages and related services may be coordinated with a caterer. The Fender Center must be either provided contact information or the caterer must contact the Center prior to the event to coordinate and needs by either party. Alcoholic beverages must be coordinated through the Center.

Beverage Option
At the client’s request, the Fender Center may provide a full service bar for an additional $250. Included in this is a bartender, set-up and the beverage supplies. However this does not include the individual beverages. Client may have the guests pay for their own drinks or keep a bar tab to be settled at the end of the evening.

NON-PREFERRED CATERERS
Non-Preferred caterers are permitted at the Fender Center with prior written approval from the Center.  Clients choosing to use an outside caterer will need to provide the following: 

  • Current health department certificate.
  • Proof of Workers Compensation and General Liability Insurance naming the Fender Center as additional insurance totaling no less than $1,000,000.00
  • All additional equipment including, but not limited to linens, china, glassware, and silverware.

The Fender Center is not liable for any non-preferred caterers planning and/or responsibilities.

Security Deposit
A refundable Security Deposit of $1,000 is due at the time of signing this contract. This deposit is of paramount consideration to the Center for the safekeeping of collections within its care.   The Center must be left in the condition it was found.

A credit card number can be given for the security deposit.  No charges will be run unless assessment of the facility upon completion indicates damage to the Museum or to its collections. If any damage to the Center or its collections if found, the deposit will be kept and any additional costs involved will be billed to the client.  If no such damage is found, the security deposit will be refunded thirty days after event, pending event inspection.

Utilities and Special Equipment
Client is responsible for identifying any equipment needed. Included in your fee is use of Center’s Audio Sound System that includes 1-microphone, 1-podium, CD player and projection screen. Any additional needs such as lighting, extra microphones, etc. may be subject to additional fees.  All equipment must be identified 10 days prior to your event in order to ensure availability and technical support. Additional equipment fees will be added to the facility fee(s). To determine your audio and/or lighting setup, please contact Kelly McGuire, Chief Audio Engineer at 951-735-2440, ext. 204.

Client must accept the Center’s existing conditions for heating, cooling, and humidity ranges, which are determined in accordance with highly specialized Museum requirements.  Space heaters may be rented by Client for outdoor use only; however, their placement must be approved in advance by the Center, based on the Fire Marshal’s regulations.

  • There is no smoking allowed in the Center.
  • Candles and open flame as table centerpieces or decorations are not permitted.  Ceremonial candle lighting will be determined at the discretion of Fender Center staff on a case by base basis.
  • There is no hanging or adhering of signs or decorations to walls or ceiling.
  • Event Photography is permitted, but the collections can not be photographed independently.
  • Access to Exhibits or upstairs areas is not permitted.

Decorations
All decorations must adhere to the local laws and policies of the Corona Fire Department.  THE FENDER CENTER WILL NOT PERMIT ITEMS AFFIXED TO ANY WALLS, USE OF CONFETTI, GLITTER, OR BUBBLES IS NOT PERMITTED IN THE VISUAL ARTS GALLERY, LOBBY, OR EXHIBITS.  A minimum labor fee of $500 will be charged for all violations of this policy.

Reimbursable Costs
The Center reserves the right to charge users for all appropriate reimbursable costs, including but not limited to the following:

  • Additional security costs (including any required police or fire department personnel)
  • Technical support fee (building engineer, technician, projectionists, A/V equipment, etc.) when applicable.

Other charges may be assessed as appropriate to the individual situation.  Although the Center will attempt to estimate all applicable reimbursable charges in advance, Client will be billed for actual costs incurred.  All reimbursable expenses will be billed after the event and are payable within 30 days.

Insurance and Liability
Client assumes full responsibility for theft, loss or damage to any property and equipment brought onto the Center’s premises by Client, subcontractors, vendors, and agents.  Fender Center cannot assume responsibility for any damages to property, bodily injury or loss of personal articles that may occur at any function held on property from any cause, whatsoever, prior to, during or subsequent to the period covered by this contract, for you, your guests or contracted services.

Cancellation Policy
All deposits and fees are non-refundable.  In the event of cancellation your deposit may be rescheduled within 90 days from the original event date based on availability.
