Course Description:

            In this course the focus is beginning music theory, singing with proper technique as a soloist and in a group setting, and performance.  Harmony is introduced in small and large groups, and impromptu performances happen often in class!  Materials needed for course; folder for music, pencil.  Music is handed out in class.

Beginning/Intermediate ages 7 and up:

Prerequisite:  None

Beginning/Intermediate ages 12 and up:

Prerequisite:  None

Advanced Voice Class

Prerequisite:  Audition by instructor

Students that do well in the beginning/intermediate class are consistently in class and show a strong desire to grow as a performer, are placed in the advanced voice class.  Students in the advanced voice class have the opportunity to join “In the Mix”, the Fender Centers vocal performance group. 

“In the Mix” is a vocal group that performs at different venues throughout the year.  It requires additional rehearsal and a higher level of commitment.  The rehearsal is generally the hour after the advanced voice class.
